Eagles Close Regular Season With Senior Day Win
Elgin, IL - The Eagles closed out the regular season on Saturday afternoon, and Senior Day in dominant fashion, sweeping Trinity Christian 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-17) inside the Lindner Fitness Center.
Judson set the tone early with an explosive .579 hitting percentage in the opening set and never looked back, controlling the match from start to finish. On the final day of the regular season, this was arguably the best game that JU has looked good in from serve one to the finale.
Leading the way offensively was Mason Snodgrass with nine kills and four service aces, while Grant Shipley delivered an efficient performance with five kills on a blistering .667 hitting percentage and a team-high six block assists.
Reece Thompson added five kills and three aces, contributing on both ends of the floor.
Adrian Martinez orchestrated the offense with 14 assists, helping the Eagles hit an impressive .312 as a team, while the defense held Trinity Christian to just a .031 hitting percentage.
With the win, Judson celebrated its seniors in style, putting together one of its most complete performances of the season in front of the home crowd.
Prior to the match, seven seniors were recognized on their final walk. They were Ashton Beachy, Hayden Brown, Oracio Martinez, Jacob Smith, Jackson Otto, Grant Shipley, and Mason Snodgrass.
