Women's Cross Country Earns NAIA Top-25 Ranking
Kansas City, Mo. For the first time in recent memory, the Judson University Women's Cross Country team has earned an NAIA National Ranking as the Eagles sit 25th in the October 3 poll.
The Eagles put themselves in contention for a top-25 ranking by finishing ahead of previously 24th-ranked St. Ambrose at Bradley Invite on September 20. There, the Eagles finished ninth with a total time of 1:37:38, while St. Ambrose placed 11th with a time of 1:37:56.
"We are really proud of our women's team and the progress that they are making with coach Lacey Heaver," said Joel Popenfoose, Director of Athletics & Director of Cross Country/Track & Field. "We have big goals for this year, and hopefully we can stay healthy and keep progressing."
Judson will next participate in the St. Ambrose Fighting Bee Invitational on October 12 at 10:30 AM in Bettendorf, Iowa.
