Anali Cisnero, two time NAIA national champion, competed last weekend in the USA World Race Walking Team Championship Trials. The Trials were held in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park. The World Race Walking Team Championships are scheduled to take place May 5th-6th, in Taicang, China.

Cisneros raced a big PR (2 1/2 minutes) in the 20km race. Her finishing time of 1:43.47 left her in 5th place, one position shy of the World Championship team.

Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, Joel Popenfoose remarked, "Anali walked a great race. While she fell short of her goal, she put up a great time and gained valuable experience. She is not one to waste an experience like this and I'm sure it will fuel her pursuit of another National Championship this Spring".

Cisneros will return to action locally this weekend at the Benedictine Relays with her fellow Eagles.
