Crystal Lake, IL The Judson Women's Soccer Team dominated Concordia (MI) from the beginning of the game to the end. Scoring their first 5 goals in the first half and 1 goal at the beginning of the second. Constant pressure on the opposing defense created space and openings on the field allowing Judson to capitalize. Kelly Leon was able to finish the game with her second hat-trick in a week with her first one being against Governors State exactly one week ago.
Leon scored her first of three goals of the night in the 3rd minute of the game off a through ball from Susan Kirsh. From that point forward it was a scoring frenzy. A second goal was scored by Alondra Blanco off an assist from Yetzemany Solis & Kelly Leon in the 12th minute. Leon scored her next two goals 18 minutes apart with one being unassisted and the other from striker Maria Artaloitia. Ataloitia scored one herself to finish off the first half. The defense of Concordia adjusted in the second half but that did not stop Blanco from scoring her second off a pass from Rafaella Ornelas.
The defense of Judson was strong. The Eagles had a total of 21 shots in the match while the opposition was only able to test goalie Morgan Olsen once during the whole game.
The Eagles kick off next at Trinity International on Tuesday.
