Top Ranked Eagles Dial In Runner Up Finish
Addison, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Kegel/ ISBPA Hammer Collegiate Classic in Addison, IL
On the Ladies Varsity side, this team had another great performance finishing 2nd out of the field of the 55 of the best Women's College Bowling teams in the Country.
This is the teams 2nd runner-up finish at a tier 1 this season and is the highest finish in program history at this event.
The Lady Eagles came out red hot shooting 1102 game 1 with games of 245 (Paige Carpenter), 236 (Cassidy Davenport), 224 (Kyley Olsen), 213 (Payten Kusilek), and 184 ( Madison Davenport).
Then games 2 and 3 were 948 and 971 respectively then came game 4 where the Lady Eagles had the best first 4 frames to a team game in program history striking 18 out of the first 20 shots as a team! They finished that game with 1074 and they were first in the B squad and 3rd overall for the day.
On Sunday the team was consistent all day in baker shooting sets 740, 729, 780, and 778 in which that had a run of games of 211, 201, 225, 212, 201, 208. This consistency led to us moving up 1 spot to a 2nd place finish! This team now has (5) 1st place finishes and (3) 2nd places finishes in their 8 events bowled.
Sophomore Standout Payten Kusilek led the way finishing 9th overall individually on Saturday as she averaged 211 with games of 213,175,233,197,236 which is her best overall performance as a Eagle! Payten also had the high strike percentage on the team of 55% on the weekend and multipin percentage of 75%.
Senior Paige Carpenter started the day with 245 and 237 finishing 12th overall individually and averaged 209 on the day. Paige was also an outstanding 20/20 on single pins for 100% and struck 50% of the time on the weekend. Junior Madison Davenport had a high game of 246 and averaged 197 on the day. Madison also was 77% on multipins and struck 52% of the time on the weekend.
Senior Kyley Olson had high games of 230 and 224 and averaged 197 on the day. Kyley was also 83% on single pins and struck 47% of the time on the weekend. Sophomore Standout Cassidy Davenport had games of 236 and 212 and averaged 188 on the day. Cassie was also an outstanding 91% on single pins and struck 43% of the time on the weekend.
Freshman Standout Jenna Pitts was 100% on single pins and 84% on multipins and an overall fill percentage of 80% on the weekend.
On the JV Ladies side they were able to come away with a 2nd place finish! Led by Junior Katelyn Kiefer who started out on fire shooting games of 208, 198, and 188 and averaged 174 on the day. Sophomore Izabel Krajecki had a high game of 191 and averaged 164 on the day. Izabel was also 72% on multipins on the weekend.
Freshman Joss Collins had a high game of 185 and averaged 163 on the day. Joss was struck 35% of the time on the weekend. Freshman Breana Saunders averaged 162 on the day and was 77% on single pins on the weekend. Sophomore Piper Ennett had a high game of 202 and averaged 162 on the day. Sophomore Alexis Vande Kolk averaged 141 on the day and was 65% on her multipins.
On Sunday the team had a high game of 218 in the Baker portion of the event.
