Highly Ranked Eagles Score Big Again
Addison, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Warhawk Open this past weekend.
On the Ladies Varsity side, this team had another super solid weekend finishing 2nd out of the 20-team field.
This team had a fantastic game 2 of the event shooting 1044 as a team! The team was led by Senior Kyley Olson who made her first All-Tournament Team of the season placing 2nd as she averaged 194 on Saturday and was a stellar 93% on single pins and struck 40% of the time on the weekend. She also had a high game of 251 to really help the team maintain their 2nd place finish.
Sophomore Cassidy Davenport stayed hot finished 4th and making a second in a row All-Tournament Team as she averaged 190 on the weekend and was 85% on single pins and had a super solid 83% overall fill percentage.
Freshman standout Jenna Pitts came off the bench to average 193 for her 4 games and continues to be a sharpshooter on spares. Jenna was 20/21 on single pins for 96% and 14/17 on multipins for 83% for the weekend. Jenna as a freshman finished the first half of the season with the #1 single pin percentage on the team at 90% and the #2 multipin percentage at 79%!!
Senior Paige Carpenter was solid averaging 182 on the weekend with an 85% single pin percentage while she struck 41% of the time on the weekend. Junior Madison Davenport had another solid performance as she struck 40% of the time on the weekend and was 65% on multipins and Sophomore Payten Kusilek also had solid contributions on the weekend.
Our Lady Eagles put together a remarkable first half of the season with finishes of 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st and 2nd respectively. This is the best statistical first half of any season in school history!! This team is also currently ranked 4th in the Country on the USBC Power Rankings and 2nd in the NAIA rankings so the 2nd half is shaping up to be amazing!
On the JV Ladies side the team was able to come away with a 1st place finish out of a strong 10 team field!
This team came out of the gate with a stellar 946 game to put them in first place where they remained for the entire weekend while winning first place by 139 pins over 2nd place Trine University.
Junior Katelyn Kiefer led the team in average at 177 and struck 35% of the time on the weekend. Freshman standout Joss Collins continues to improve as she averaged 172 on the weekend and was 78% on single pins and 63% on multipins for the weekend.
Sophomore Izabel Krajecki was super solid averaging 170 on the weekend and was 77% on single pins and 63% on multipins, Sophomore Piper Ennett was solid going 77% on single pins and struck 34% of the time on the weekend.
Freshman Breana Saunders averaged 167 on the weekend and Sophomore Alexis Vande Kolk averaged 162 and was 78% on single pins on the weekend.
This team now has won 2 tournaments this first half of the season, this bodes well for the future and also the depth of this very talented ladies squad!
The Warhawk concludes our first half of the season and our next event is January 10-11 at the Storm Baker Challenge in Addison, IL.
