Eagles Bring Home More Trophies
Lafayette, IN - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Boilermaker Classic and Boilermaker Baker Shootout tournaments in Lafayette, IN.
On the Ladies Varsity side, this team continued to dominant winning both events by a combined 600 pins!! On Saturday they got off to a slow start but had a big 3rd game of 1045 as a team and they never looked back from there!
Led again by Senior Paige Carpenter who was the #1 finisher individually and tournament MVP for the 3rd time in 4 events as she averaged 193 for the event and struck 46% of the time.
Sophomore Payten Kusilek made her first all-tournament team finishing 3rd and averaging 184 for the event. Sophomore Cassidy Davenport also made her 1st all-tournament team of the season finishing 4th with a 177 average.
Senior Kyley Olson was solid again as she was 71% on multipins, Sophomore Piper Ennett came off the bench to average 173, and Madison Davenport was 100% on her single pins for the day.
At the Baker event on Sunday this team started with a great set of 843 to set the pace for the day in which they led wire to wire.
Led by Junior Madison Davenport who had an standout performance across the board as she was 93% on single pins, 86% on multipins and struck 50% of the time on the day.
Paige Carpenter was 75% on multipins and struck 45% of the time, Cassidy Davenport was 80% on multipins and struck 44% of the time, Kyley Olson was a fantastic 94% on single pins and 70% on multipins and Jenna Pitts went 100% on multipin conversions and struck 40% of the time!
This team has now won 3 of the first 4 events of the season while coming in 2nd place in the other! What a start to what is shaping up to be an historic season!
On the JV Ladies side the team was able to come away with a 1st place finish on Saturday and a 2nd place finish on Sunday! Led by Freshman Jenna Pitts who was 92% on single pins and 70% on multipins on Saturday.
As a Freshman, Jenna is now ranked #1 in single pin conversions and 2nd on Multipins for the overall season! Freshman Breana Saunders was 86% on single pins, Sophomore Alexis Vande Kolk went 86% on single pins and average 166 on the day.
Freshman Joss Collins struck 30% on the time on the day, Sophomore Izabel Krajecki was 70% on single pins, and Junior Katelyn Kiefer was 43% on multipins.
At the Sunday Baker event Piper Ennett went 80% on single pins, 65% on multiples, and struck 35% of the time. Joss Collins was 70% on multipins and stuck 34% of the time. Katelyn Kiefer went 82% on single pins, Izabel Krajecki went 84% on multipins, Breana Saunders was 60% on single pins and Alexis Vande Kolk was 62% in single pins.
This weekend proves how deep the Lady Eagle are this season!
To finish up the first half of the season we will be at the Warhawk Open in Addison, Il on Decemeber 6-7!
