Veltkamp, Fauchet-Poli, Bavich Earn CCAC All-Conference Honors
Chicago, Ill. The Judson University Men's Tennis Team has learned that three players have received All-Conference honors.
Alex Veltkamp has earned a spot on the CCAC singles team following a solid season as the Eagles' #1 player. Veltkamp was 10-8 in dual competitions while posting a 12-9 overall record on the season.
"Success in tennis is not merely measured by wins and losses, but by the unwavering dedication, resilience, and skill displayed on the court. Alex Veltkamp with an exceptional display of talent and determination, has rightfully earned the coveted Singles All-Conference title of the CCAC through their remarkable performance in singles matches throughout the season," said Head Coach Manuel Lopez-Videla. Through intelligent shot selection and a tenacious spirit, Alex Veltkamp has demonstrated that success in tennis goes beyond pure skill. It requires astute decision-making, mental fortitude, and an unyielding determination to outsmart opponents. Congratulations on this well-deserved accomplishment!"
Joshua Bavich and Mathis Fauchet-Poli were named to the CCAC doubles team. The pair went 8-4 overall in the 2022-23 campaign as the team went 5-1 in #3 doubles before becoming the Eagles' second pair, going 3-3.

With a relentless hunger for victory, Josh Bavich and Mathis Fauchet-Poli have triumphed as the formidable force at the net, seizing the initiative and instilling uncertainty in their opponents' minds," said Lopez-Videla.
