Elgin, IL - In a perhaps oddity, the Eagles came into Wednesday's match against Calumet with three straight 0-0 ties. On Wednesday, the trend would end in a big way.
The Eagles dominated Calumet by a score of 7-0. Judson controlled every part of the game, were faster, and just had it all working in their attack. Impressively, Judson did not even allow a shot on goal in the victory with the shot total being 61-0 in favor of JU.
Judson had three first half goals. Danail Mihaylov, Fernando Nkumah, and Ruben Ledesma all found the net.
In the second half it was more of the same that saw Mihaylov and Ledesma get their second goals of the match. They were joined by captain Gabriel Uno and Erik Morales as part of a four goal half.
The two goals give Mihaylov a team leading four goals on the season.
For a team that had just scored four goals all season, the seven goal outburst was much needed.
Judson now stands at 3-4-5 overall and 2-0-3 in conference play. The Eagles have not allowed a goal scored in conference play.
Ivan Dominguez had a light day at the office. Dominguez was named as the CCAC defensive player of the week for his great play last week.
JU will travel to Kentucky on Saturday to take on NCCAA opponent Campbellsville.
