Elgin, IL - The setting was perfect on a homecoming Saturday afternoon. The Eagles played host to Indiana Northwest in a conference matchup that on paper should have been a good spot for JU.
The Eagles hosted a winless Redhawk team that they have shutout the previous two seasons.
For the third straight year, the Eagles did complete the shutout. The downside, Judson was unable to push across any goals of their own, and the game ended in a 0-0 draw. It may be a disappointing point, but a point nonetheless for JU as they make their way through the conference schedule.
The Eagles outshot IU 7-4 in the contest. Gabriel Uno and Mark Leavy each had two shots on goal for the team's four credited shots on goal.
Ivan Dominguez was credited with three saves in the shutout.
If it weren't for an 88th minute goal on Wednesday, it would have been a second consecutive 0-0 draw.
The Eagles are 2-4-3 overall, and 1-0-1 in conference play. In their nine games, the Eagles have not allowed more than one goal in a given match. The other side of things is that the Eagles have only scored four goals on the year.
Judson will look to kick the offense in gear next time out when they travel to Governors State on Tuesday. It projects to be another tight contest as these were the top two teams in conference a season ago.
