Eagles Finish Season At Sectionals
Elgin, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the ITC Sectionals event in Fort Worth, Texas. The Eagles are normally slotted in the Addison region, so the unexpected change to the Lone Star state was a burst of excitement for the squad.
On the Men's Varsity side this team came away with a 18th place finish. In set 1 on Saturday this team started hot with high games of 200, 232, 232, 209, 217, 217, and 209 to put them in 16th. Set 2 was a bit of a struggle with high games of 207, 202, 203, and 211 dropping us to 18th. Set 1 on Sunday again started well with high games of 206, 243, 236, 247, 246, 211, 228 and 206 moving us back to 16th.
The final set on Sunday had high games of 217, 214, and 214 to finish back in 18th on for the event. Senior Eric Roberts made his final appearance and was 67% on multipins for the weekend. Sophomore Woodley Dangerfield who had a single pin percentage of 88%, multipin percentage of 87% and struck 45% of the time on the weekend. Sophomore Toby Wamsley went 13/13 on single pins for 100% and was also 75% on multipins. Freshman Brayland Carpenter was a super solid 94% on single pins and 70% on mutlipins on the weekend.
Freshman Jeremy Gasca was 86% on single pins and struck 49% of the time on the weekend and had an overall fill percentage of 84%. Freshman Aidan Lee was again solid with 87% on single pins and 65% on multipins on the weekend. Sophomore Noah Moreno was 79% on single pins and struck 42% of the time and Freshman Carson Reid struck 54% of the time on the weekend.
This team showed signs of greatness throughout the season and with (3) sophomores and (4) freshman on varsity this bodes well for the future of this squad!
We also want to take a moment to thank the following graduating Seniors from who competed in their last event as Eagles. To Paige Carpenter, Eric Roberts, and Kyley Olson we want to thank you for your hard work, commitment, and dedication to our Judson Eagles Bowling Family. The 3 of you have been nothing but class and you will be missed by all. We want to wish you the absolute best in your futures, and you will always be a part of our family! We know all 3 of you are going to do amazing things in your futures and we pray that God blesses you throughout!
This concludes the 2025-26 season for the Judson Eagles Bowling Program. It may be the end of the season, but it is just the beginning for our graduating seniors as well as next seasons incoming class of talented and high character players into our program. God continues to pour into our program, and we ask that he continue to bless us and lead us. I Pray we continue to surrender to what he wants for this team! Lord, I pray we lean into our core values of Christ first and our pillars of grateful, humble, discipline, and consistency in everything we do.
