Spirit Spotlight Game 5
Elgin, IL - This season, during football season, The Eagles Spirit Squad will be doing a Spirit Spotlight highlighting our awesome cheerleaders and dancers.
For the fifth and final home game, the Spotlight was on the following:
Michaela McTighe is a senior from Plano, Illinois majoring in Christian Ministries with a minor in Biblical/Theological Studies. She loves being a part of the Spirit Squad because she enjoys being an encouraging light both at games and on campus! Micky's favorite holiday is Christmas because she loves celebrating the greatest gift (Jesus!) with her favorite people. And it's even better if it snows! Currently Micky's favorite verse is Matthew 11:28. She loves that Jesus promises rest and we always have an invitation to come to Him! If Micky were to choose an alternate mascot for Judson, it would be a lion.
Micky was the lone member of the team to make her senior day walk prior to the game as well. She has been a huge part of the squad over her career, and was great to see her recognized during the pre game ceremony.
Aayla-Marie Adams is a junior from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Accounting. She loves cheering for Judson because she enjoys the times she gets to spend with the team. Aayla's favorite holiday is New Years Eve because she loves watching the fireworks. Her favorite worship songs are Days of Elijah by Charles Jenkins and Trust in God by Elevation Worship. If Aayla were to choose an alternate mascot for Judson, it would be the Bulldogs!
And finally, our fantastic coach Christie Follett is from Algonquin, Illinois. She serves as the head coach of the Spirit Squad. She loves leading the Spirit Squad because the girls on the team are such examples of Christ-like leaders. She learns so much from them and truly enjoys building a team of positivity and sisterhood. Christie's favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because of the family togetherness time. Her favorite worship song is Who Else Is Worthy because it points to the holiness and perfection of Jesus. If Christie were to choose an alternate mascot for Judson, it would be the Judson Jazz, because it just sounds fun and sparkly.
The squad will be back as basketball season now gets under way.
